A creative practitioner with more than one world to draw from.

Howard Pearlmutter has spent more than fifty paid professional years making emerging technology useful. Through companies he founded, he has completed more than 200 engagements.

NASA, Apple, Disney, Xerox, HP, Kodak, CBS, Fujitsu, CSC, Capital One, Symantec, and the Financial Times are among his development and consulting clients.

Ideas became practical work.

MasterType became bestselling educational software. An energy-conservation game brought environmental purpose into interactive learning. His own graphics software helped bring geometric relationships into motion.

His NASA study examined human interaction with dynamic simulation. For GM, Ford, and other major automakers, he built the animated virtual-reality web system that made complex factory designs inspectable for executive due diligence and signoff.

Creation also meant organizing.

As Softweaver's founder and operating leader, he worked across product, people, clients, sales, and finance. Other roles included 4SITE's chairmanship and TerraCycle's founding advisory board.

His creative gatherings connected different disciplines and ecological possibilities. David Brower's historical praise speaks to that environmental vision.

The exploration continues.

His AI experience began with LISP in 1974. Today he continues with AI-assisted architecture, implementation, testing, refactoring, review, and agentic workflows.

The Telos engagement joined a custom cross-role seminar with practical prototypes. It illustrates the continuing relationship between explanation and building.

geniusource.org draws on that range to explore a generous question: what could become possible when more of a person's or team's ability enters the creative work?
